Pastoral Ministry 2

Effective ministry leadership requires solid organizational management. This course focuses on the practical, day-to-day skills ministry leaders need to exercise in order to be effective organizational leaders. Topics include managing the affairs of the church, organizational budgeting, program development, board governance, and running meetings.

Student Learning Objectives:

Understand the role good management plays in the life an organization.

Identify key issues that allow the ministry professional to practice healthy life rhythms when working for a church.

Develop strategies for leading groups and boards in the local church.

Reflect on the relationship between organizational leaders and spiritual formation.

Understand how to structure an order of service.
