Our security safeguards consist of a wide variety of technical solutions and security practices all designed to work together to protect your information.Data Encryption and Message Integrity
Your communications and transactions are secure and confidential when you successfully sign in to our secure websites with a CMAllianceU ID and password. We use Transport Layer Security (TLS) to help keep your information confidential while you conduct business on our secure websites. TLS helps ensure the integrity and confidentiality of your online transactions by creating a uniquely encrypted transmission over the Internet between your web browser and CMAllianceU. For your security, you will not be able to sign in to our secure websites if your browser does not support a minimum of 128-bit encryption. For improved security, performance and support, we recommend that you use the latest browser version with all of the applicable security patches installed. To ensure you are using latest browser version available, you can follow the applicable link below:

Authentication of Your Identity
We will only grant access to your account after the proper Email/Access ID and password have been entered. When you successfully sign in to our secure websites, your browser will establish a secure connection between your computer and our web servers using Transport Layer Security (TLS), which helps prevent your information from being tampered with during transmission across the Internet.
All modern web browsers include mechanisms that indicate when online connections are secure. Often a lock symbol is used and may be displayed in the web browser address bar and/or elsewhere on your screen. Visit the website for your browser to learn about the symbols or mechanisms they use to let you know when online connections are secure.
When you access our secure websites, we need proof of your identity in the form of your Email/Access ID and password. We will only grant access to your account if the proper Email/Access ID and password are entered. Always keep your password confidential. Only you should know what it is.
CMAllianceU will not be held responsible for any loss or damage which may be incurred due to unauthorized use of your password.
To prevent your account from remaining open when not in use, your online session with our secure websites will be terminated after several minutes of inactivity. If this occurs, you will need to successfully sign in again with your CMAllianceU ID and password to continue.
Physical & Staff Security
Our private server is located in a highly secure data center run by a world-leading hosting company. The CMAllianceU offices in Colorado are protected 24/7 by key-fob controlled access, along with live front-door security during daytime hours. We have an established staff with very low turnover. All our members of staff are subject to routine background checks.
Communicating with CMAllianceU
We promote safe communication practices when dealing with our students and coaches. Whether you communicate with us through telephone, email or online, here's what you can expect:
- We will not ask you to provide personal, financial or confidential information in email communications initiated by CMAllianceU.
- We will never ask you to change your account information. You need to initiate changes to your account yourself.
- We will never ask you for your password.
- We protect your email address by maintaining appropriate technical safeguards. All emails we receive are screened for infected file attachments.
- Your course evaluators communicate with you through the internal CMAllianceU messaging service, rather than through your email address. You have the right and ability to adjust your profile settings to make your email address visible to other students and the evaluator in your course. However, we recommend that you retain the default privacy settings and share your email address on an individual basis and only with those whom you know well.
Course activity records, including assignments and forum discussions, are kept for each course section for up to three (3) months after the conclusion of the course section. At that time, the course records are archived. Archived data may be able to be recovered for a fee. Archives are cleaned and deleted after approximately two years.
Course completion records (transcripts) are retained indefinitely, in keeping with standard educational and training policies.
Photo & Video Materials
In addition to traditional papers and writing assignments, many courses hosted on CMAllianceU either require or offer you the opportunity to submit assignments that use photos and/or video images you produce. As course requirements, these images may be viewed by the course evaluator/teacher, as well as by other students in the course. This media is not limited to photos, graphics, and video and will be retained, along with other course data, as per the requirements of the course.
For ACH Data
Automated Clearing House (ACH) is an electronic network for financial transactions which allows you to make secure payments by personal or church check. This is the same network that employers use to make direct deposits, and that many banking institutions (including PayPal) use for transferring money.
The first time that you make a payment by check, there is a short set-up process. In order to verify your bank account, we will deposit (2) small amounts—32 cents and 45 cents—into your account. These deposits will take 1-2 business days to appear on your statement with a description of VERIFICATION. Once you receive these, please call the CLA Office toll free at (866) 443-8262. We will then mark your account as authorized and process your ACH payment. After that, you will be able to make additional future payments via ACH. If you have any questions regarding this process, please call CMAllianceU at (719)265-2057.
For Credit Card Data
No Credit cards are stored in our online databases. Although you may see a picture of a credit card on a payment page, is just a visual representation of the card you used for your payment transactions. This card is an indicator that you are an existing customer and have a customer ID with us.
Anyone involved with the processing, transmission, or storage of credit card data must comply with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI DSS). To maintain compliance and protect your information at the highest level, we use Stripe® to process payments. Stripe® has been audited by a PCI-certified auditor and is certified to PCI Service Provider Level 1. This is the most stringent level of certification available in the payments industry.

Although such information is not Personally Identifiable Information, we may be able to determine from an IP address a user's Internet Service Provider and the geographic location of his or her point of connectivity.
You should be able to control how and whether cookies will be accepted by your web browser. Most browsers offer instructions, in the "Help" section of the toolbar, on how to reset the browser to reject cookies. How We Use and Share the Information
Please take some time to familiarize yourself with the different ways CMAllianceU uses and may disclose the information that we gather. We do not share your Personally Identifiable Information with third parties for their direct marketing use.
Non-Personal Information. CMAllianceU uses Non-Personal Information in aggregate form to build higher quality, more useful services by performing statistical analyses of the collective characteristics and behavior of our users, and by measuring demographics and interests regarding specific areas of our Site. Such aggregate information may include but is not limited to video player interactions, views of posts, views and actions on pages, assessment results and completion rates and assignments. We may share Non-Personal Information with service providers and others to assist us in operating and enhancing our programs and site.
Updates. We use Personally Identifiable Information collected when you sign-up for our various email or update services to send you the messages in connection with the Site or an online course. CMAllianceU may also archive this information and/or use it for future communications with you.
Participation in Courses. We use the Personally Identifiable Information, including but not limited to username and email address, that we collect from you when you participate in a course through the Site for processing purposes, including but not limited to tracking attendance, progress and completion of an online course. Also, CMAllianceU may archive this information and/or use it for future communications with you. This information may be shared with the content providers or contractors. To the extent such Personally Identifiable Information contains images of you; you grant CMAllianceU a limited, non-exclusive right to use, reproduce, distribute, prepare derivative works of or publicly display such images and/or your likeness for educational purposes.
Disclosure to Complete Transactions. We may disclose your Personally Identifiable Information in order to help complete a transaction that you have requested. This may include, for example, disclosure of credit card information to a payment processor.
Disclosure to CMAllianceU Contractors. Our contractors may have limited access to your Personally Identifiable Information in the course of providing products or services to us. These contractors may include vendors and suppliers that provide us with technology, services, marketing assistance, and/or content related to the operation and maintenance of the Site or the online course. Access to your Personally Identifiable Information by these contractors is limited to the information reasonably necessary for the contractor to perform its limited function for us.
CMAllianceU goes beyond the usual “reasonable measures” to protect your Personally Identifiable Information from disclosure to or access by third parties. However, even with these extraordinary measures, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. There is always some risk that an unauthorized third party may find a way to circumvent our security systems or that transmission of your information over the Internet will be intercepted. Any information that you post on our site or send to us in an email is not secure.
You also play a role in protecting your information. Please safeguard your user name and password and do not share them with others. If we receive instructions using your log-in information we will consider that you have authorized the instructions. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account or any other breach of security. We reserve the right to refuse service, terminate accounts, or remove or edit content in our sole discretion.
Updating or Deleting Your Personally Identifiable Information
You may update your Personally Identifiable Information by logging into the Site and visiting your profile page. Keep in mind, however, that there will be residual information that will remain within our databases, access logs and other records, which may or may not contain your Personally Identifiable Information. You may also submit a request to update your Personally Identifiable Information to firstname.lastname@example.org. We try to answer every email promptly, but may not always be able to do so.

CMAllianceU does not knowingly collect or maintain Personally Identifiable Information on our Site from persons under 13 years of age, and no part of our Site is directed to persons under 13 years of age. If you are under 13 years of age, then please do not use or access this Site at any time or in any manner.
